Hand over the event,
keep earning from it.

When a shoot is done, transfer the whole event to your client. Your storage is freed, your plan gets the event slot back, you stay on the gallery as co-host — and the commission you set is yours.

The problem

Old events quietly eat your plan.

Every gallery you have ever delivered is still sitting in your account, still counted against your storage, still using an event slot — for a wedding that happened three years ago.

  • Delete it and the couple loses their photos
  • Keep it and you buy storage forever for work you were paid for once
  • Either way the archive grows and the bill grows with it

Event Transfer is the third option: the people who want the gallery kept become the people who keep it.

This season

78% of storage is work you already delivered

How it works

Four steps, one handover.

The gallery never goes down and nobody re-uploads anything. Ownership moves, that is all.

Finish the event

Deliver as you normally would. Nothing about the shoot or the gallery changes.

Set your commission

Choose what you charge to hand the event over, on top of the client's storage.

Client accepts

They approve the transfer from their own Samaro account and take ownership.

You get paid & freed

Your commission is yours, the storage returns to your plan, and you stay co-host.

The commission

A delivered event becomes an earning one.

You decide what handover is worth. The client pays for the storage they are now keeping, and your commission sits on top of it.

  • You set the rate — per event, or as your standard across every client
  • The client sees one clear figure before they accept
  • Revenue arrives after the shoot is paid for, not instead of it

What transfer actually does

Ownership moves. Access does not.

Ownership handover

The client's personal account becomes the owner of the event, with full control of the gallery and its media.

You stay co-host

Transferring is not losing the work. You keep access to the gallery for your portfolio and for anything the client needs later.

Storage returns

The event stops counting against your storage the moment it moves, so you are not buying space for finished work.

Event slot freed

Your plan's event count is renewed too, so an archive of old weddings never stops you booking the next one.

Your commission

You set what the handover costs. It is charged with the transfer and paid to you, not absorbed by the platform.

Nothing re-uploaded

No export, no download, no second copy. The same gallery and the same links keep working through the handover.

Who it is for

Anyone whose archive keeps growing.

The more events you have delivered, the more transfer is worth to you.

Wedding photographers

Couples want their gallery for life. Give it to them properly instead of carrying it on your plan for a decade.

Event planners

Close out an event completely — handover included — and bill for it as part of the wrap.

Studios & teams

Dozens of shoots a season adds up fast. Transfer keeps the shared plan sized for the work in front of you.

Questions

Event Transfer, answered.

What is Event Transfer?+
Event Transfer moves a finished event from your business account to your client's own Samaro account. They become the owner of the gallery, you stay on it as co-host, and the storage the event was using is returned to your plan along with the event slot.
Do I lose access to the gallery after transferring it?+
No. You are downgraded from owner to co-host, which keeps your access to the event and its media. The change is who owns and pays for the gallery, not who can see it.
How do I earn from a transfer?+
You set a commission for the handover. The client sees it before they accept, and it is charged along with the transfer. It is separate from what you charged for the shoot itself.
Who pays for storage after the transfer?+
The client does. Once they own the event, the storage it uses is billed to their account at Samaro's per-GB annual rate rather than counting against your plan.
Does the client need their own Samaro account?+
Yes. The event moves into their personal account, which is what makes them the owner and lets them keep the gallery for as long as they want it.
Is Event Transfer available on every plan?+
Event Transfer is a business account feature. If you are on a personal plan, you would need to be on a business plan to transfer events out to clients.
What happens to the gallery links and QR codes?+
Nothing breaks. The event is not re-created or re-uploaded, so existing gallery links and QR codes keep resolving to the same event after ownership moves.
